The Lancaster General College of Nursing and Health Sciences is located at 410 N. Duke Street in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The Lancaster General Hospital is located about a half block away from the campus. The school can be reached from 222 or 272. The EMS is located at 1829 Lincoln Highway East and some classes in the program may take place at the training center there.
Program Schedule
The paramedic program offered through the college consists of four semesters and begins in August. Classes take place on Monday and Thursday nights from 6 to 10 pm and some classes on the weekends as well. The course is approximately 1200 hours divided into class time, clinical experience, and field experience.
The cost of tuition for the course is $5500, which includes books, lab fees, and two shirts. There is an application fee of $60 that is nonrefundable. Additional costs include a physical examination, drug screening, criminal background check, child abuse background check, FBI background check, and FBI clearance for students that are out of state.

In order to be accepted into the program applicants must submit the following information and be at least 18 years old.

- One page essay on why you want to be a Paramedic (350 words)
- Official high school and college transcripts
- Copy of EMT-B card
- Copy of driver’s license
- 3 recommendations from teachers, professors, employers, etc.
Once accepted into the program, students will be required to submit a physical examination, drug screening, criminal, child abuse, and FBI background check, and if an out of state student, a FBI clearance form.
