Central Florida Community College EMT Paramedic School

Central Florida Community College is located at 3001 Southwest College Road in Ocala, Florida. The Paddock Mall is located across the street as is the Shoppe’s at Paddock Park. Shady Oaks shopping center is located across from the campus as well. The campus can be reached by taking SW 27th Avenue, which is also County Highway 475A.

Program Schedule

Central Florida Community College offers an EMS associate degree program as well as a paramedic certificate program. The associate degree program takes approximately two years to complete. The paramedic certificate program takes place over three consecutive semesters. General education classes can be taken before or along with the paramedic coursers, it is also possible to complete the general education requirements for the associate degree after finishing the paramedic courses.

Program Prerequisites

In order to be considered for the paramedic program students must have current certification as an EMT in the state of Florida. Students must also undergo a criminal background check before entering the program. Students will also need to have a medical history on file with the school as well as a copy of current immunizations.

Once accepted into the program students are responsible for their own health insurance, liability insurance is included in the cost of tuition.
