Rockland Community College Paramedic Training Program

Rockland Community College is located at 145 College Road in Suffern, New York. The campus is easy to find off Viola Road or County Road 74. The Spook Rock Golf Course is located across from the campus. Orchard Hills Park is located a few blocks away.

Program Schedule

Rockland Community College offers an associate degree program for those interested in becoming a paramedic. The EMT paramedic courses consist of 72 credit hours and will take at least two years to complete. During your course of studies you will be assigned an advisor who will stay with you throughout your education at the college. The paramedic advisor will also be with you during most of your time during your ride along experiences.

The cost for attending the college full time is $3815 annually for Rockland County Residents or $1907 per semester. Part time county residents will pay $158 per credit hour. Residents of the state of New York with a certificate will pay the same amount as in county residents. In state residents that do not have a certificate pay $7630 per year, $3815 per semester or $316 per credit hour if going part time. This is the same price for out of state residents.

Program Prerequisites

Students interested in a paramedic education offered through Rockland Community College must first meet all of the academic requirements of the college. In order to be admitted into the program students will meet with their academic advisor to plan their course of study.

Students must maintain a grade point average of 2.0 to remain in the program. When entering the clinical portion of the program students may have to submit to a criminal background check, drug test, and submit a physical examination with all necessary vaccination records.
