North Georgia Technical College EMT Paramedic Program

North Georgia Technical College is a rural community college that is located on Highway 197 in Clarkesville, Georgia. This college is located in a beautiful rural area of the county, with Moccasin Creek State Park just a few miles from the campus.
EMT and Paramedic Program Information
The EMT paramedic technology diploma offered by North Georgia Technical College begins in the fall and takes 5 quarters to complete. The total number of credit hours required for the EMT paramedic training is 79.
Program Prerequisites
In order to be eligible for the paramedic training program a student must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED. Top priority into the program is given to residents that reside in the state of Georgia.
In addition, an EMT paramedic applicant must have their current EMT basic license and Health Care Provider CPR certification. Students may also have to submit to a background check and a drug test before entering the clinical portion of the program.
