Emergency Responders Academy of Learning (ERAL) EMT Training

The school offers a number of different EMS classes, including EMT training, CPR classes, and paramedic training. ERAL focuses on small class sizes, allowing individuals to get more hands on training from the EMT paramedic programs.
The facility where classes take place is a 2500 square foot building located within the city. The campus is just south of the city of Stockton and is bordered by both interstate 99 and interstate 5, which makes the campus easily accessible for individuals in the area.
EMT and Paramedic Program Information
The Emergency Responders Academy of Learning offers paramedic programs throughout the year. Currently, the classes start in March and September. The classes last for approximately 5 months. The course includes 450 hours didactic training, 160 to 250 hours in the emergency room, and 480 to 720 hours of ambulance field time. Classes meet on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:30 am until 5:30 pm. Clinical hours may vary depending upon the hospital you are assigned to.
Program Prerequisites
Candidates must be current EMTs and provide immunization records in order to be eligible for the paramedic program that is offered. In addition, students must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
