Bainbridge College EMT Paramedic Training Program
Wednesday, February 22nd, 2012Bainbridge College has an EMT paramedic training program which offers EMT training students the necessary courses for certification at the highest level of EMT paramedic.
Bainbridge College is located at 2500 E Shotwell St in Bainbridge, Georgia. The campus is located just off highway 38, which runs directly beside Twin Lakes. The campus is just before you reach the Yuki Express Japanese restaurant. Memorial Hospital and Manor are located just down the road as is the Bainbridge Mall shopping center.
EMT and Paramedic Program Information
Bainbridge College offers a diploma program in Paramedic Technology through EMT paramedic training. The purpose of the EMT paramedic program is to prepare students for a position within the medical field as a paramedic. The paramedic program offered through the college is a total of 60 to 61 credit hours for completion. This accredited EMT training program is designed to meet all of the standards set by the Georgia Department of Human Resources and the Department of Technical education guidelines as outlined for paramedic programs in the state.
Program Prerequisites
In order to be eligible for the paramedic training program offered by Bainbridge College students must have a high school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old. Prospective students must have a current EMT license within the state of Georgia and have CPR certification at the health care provider level that is current.
Students may also be required to submit proof of immunizations, a physical examination, a criminal background check and a drug screening before starting the clinical rotation portion of the program.
