Augusta Technical College EMT Paramedic Program

Augusta Technical College has a paramedic program that offers EMT training students the necessary courses for certification at the highest level of EMT paramedic.

Augusta Technical College is located at 3200 Augusta Tech Drive in Augusta, Georgia. The campus is easily accessible from Interstate 520, which is also called the Bobby Jones Expressway. The campus is located in a circular drive with Augusta Tech Drive, Career Drive, and Success Avenue circling the campus.

Augusta’s paramedic training program is designed to cover all of the requirements of the state of Georgia for EMT and EMT Advanced training, replacing their EMT-Basic and EMT-Intermediate programs.

Program Prerequisites

Students that wish to attend the EMT paramedic training program offered through the college must be at least 17 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED and complete a placement test as required by the college. The COMPASS test must be taken unless a student has recently completed the SAT, ACT, CPE or ASSET examinations, in which those scores may be used.

Once accepted into the program a student may be required to submit a criminal background check, drug test, physical examination, and immunization records.
