Santa Fe Community College Paramedic School Program

Santa Fe Community College is located in Gainesville, Florida at 3737 Northeast 39th Avenue, which is also highway 222. There is an Enterprise Rent-A-Car location across the street from the college. The campus sits right next to Morningside Nature Center and the Gainesville Regional Airport is located across the street from the college.

Program Schedule

Santa Fe Community College offers a certificate program in paramedicine. The program consists of classroom instruction, on site labs, clinical rotations and a field internship. Once completing the program students are eligible to sit for both the state and national licensure examinations. Students may begin the program in the spring, summer or fall.

Program Prerequisites

Prospective students must first be admitted to the college. An application to the college must be completed and submitted before enrolling in the paramedic course. Students must have a high school diploma or GED.

In order to be eligible for the paramedic courses offered by Santa Fe Community College, students must be currently certified as an EMT in the state of Florida. A physical examination and immunization records must be on file at the college as well.

Once admitted into the program students may be required to submit a criminal background check and drug screening prior to clinical rotations.
