The EMT paramedic technology diploma offered by North Georgia Technical College begins in the fall and takes 5 quarters to complete. The total number of credit hours required is 79.
Program Prerequisites
In order to be eligible for a paramedic training education at North Georgia Tech, a student must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED. Top priority into the program is given to residents that reside in the state of Georgia.
In addition, an applicant must have their current EMT basic license and Health Care Provider CPR certification. Students may also have to submit to a background check and a drug test before entering the clinical portion of the program.
