The Emergency Medical Training Course certificate meets the requirements for the California Health and Safety Code for Basic EMT-1 training. All didactic and skills follows National EMT guidelines. The approving authority is the Marin County Emergency Medical Service Agency. This course completion is valid for two years from the completion date and shall be recognized statewide.
These courses discussed in this video provide occupational education and training for men and women who wish to pursue coursework in fire technology and EMS services. The Emergency Medical Technician Training Course certificate meets the requirements of the California Health and Safety Code for basic EMT-1 training. Note: This is not an EMT-1 Certificate.
All students new to the College of Marin are required to participate in Testing, Orientation, and meet with a counselor, unless they are exempted. The Orientation is designed to help prepare you to be successful and to be assured you complete the prerequisites required for entrance into the EMS programs.
