Edison College Paramedic Training Program

Edison College is located at 8099 College Parkway Southwest in Fort Meyers, Florida. The campus is easily reached by taking Summerlin Road to Edison Parkway. The campus offers several lakes and a golf course nearby. The Signature Health Care-Clg Park is located near campus as well.

Program Schedule

Edison College offers a Paramedic Certificate program for those students that qualify. The program takes place over three semesters and consists of 42 credit hours. The estimated cost for the program is $4200 for Florida residents and $13,440 for out of state residents. This cost includes lab fees, tuition and books. Additional costs include a stethoscope, uniforms, and liability insurance.

Students are expected to provide their own transportation to and from their clinical rotations. Students in the paramedic program will also be required to complete a one week rotation in the emergency room at a local hospital. This week is in addition to the other required class, lab, clinical and internship hours.

Program Prerequisites

Students that wish to participate in the paramedic certificate program must be EMT-basic certified in the state of Florida before beginning the course.

Students may be asked to submit a criminal background check and drug screening before the clinical rotation portion of the program begins. .
