The Community College of Beaver County is located at One Campus Drive in Monaca, Pennsylvania. The campus offers easy access off Brodhead Road. If you are coming from out of town, you will take the Frankfort Road exit off Interstate 376 or the Beaver Valley Expressway. Campus is just a few miles away from the expressway. The Center Municipal Park is within blocks of the college campus.
Program Schedule
The paramedic program offered by the Community College of Beaver County is available to all EMT-basic responders and is ran through an agreement with the Community College of Allegheny County. The course includes classroom, clinical, and field experiences.
The college offers a program that has been around since 1974. It is in a centralized location and offers a fully equipped training lab. The staff is made up of professionals within the community.
Program Prerequisites
In order to enroll in the paramedic program that is offered through the Community College of Beaver County, a prospective student must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED. In addition, students must have current EMT-basic certification and basic life support certification at the health care provider level. Students that are accepted into the program may have to submit to a background check before clinical rotations may begin.
