Community College of Aurora EMT Program

The Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P) Certificate program requires 45 credits. The courses cover paramedic pharmacology, medical emergencies and trauma emergencies. In addition to the classes, students complete labs and two paramedic internships in fieldwork. Students are required to have previously earned EMT-Basic certification. They must also possess CPR and IV certification.
The associate degree in paramedicine at the Community College of Aurora requires students to complete 15 credits of general education, including human anatomy and physiology. Paramedic courses cover pharmacology, advanced life support and handling trauma emergencies. All students will complete two paramedic internships prior to completing the program.
